Masako Noguchi

Masako Noguchi

Masako Noguchi was born in Japan and graduated from Osaka University of Arts. Since 1995 she has been living in Europe. She studied at the Laban center in London and the School for New Dance Development in Amsterdam. She has worked with several choreographers and musicians around Europe and in Japan.

Since 1999 she has performed her own work and taught at International Duo Festival Amsterdam, Holland Japan festival, International Improvisation Festival Hamburg, Session House (Tokyo), The Red House (Bulgaria), Duncan Center (Prague), CIT (Italy) and others.

She started working with Magpie Music Dance Company in 1999, and in 2001 joined Italian-based dance company Deja Donne, directed by Lenka Flory and Simone Sandoroni, and performed in 3 different works of the company. She is currently based in Japan where she is further developing her research, her teaching and her performing. She is a regular teacher at a dance studio “be off” in Utunomiya-city and “out-lounge workshop” in Tokyo.
